Why I love this Cottage Gem

"Where to even start with Sycamore House! We thought about everything you could need to keep all the generations happy on holiday together, and we made it in this house. There’s just the right blend of sociable and quiet spaces, with so many fun activities right in the back garden!

This is a place for special celebrations, so the interiors are beautiful and luxurious where every room feels like a treat to stay in. You’re only a few minutes walk from Bourton on the Water here, so you don’t have to re-arrange cars to go anywhere - and you’re also across the road from a great pub!”

Location

Bourton on the Water is one of the most iconic Cotswolds villages, with good reason. Quaint cottages cluster around the village centre where the river Windrush flows quietly through criss-crossed by little brides, earning Bourton its nickname of "the Venice of the Cotswolds". Here though the river runs clear and is shallow enough for paddling!

Bourton on the Water punches above its weight when it comes to amenities, with UK-leading restaurants and pubs, attractions like Birdland and the Cotswold Motoring Museum (home to Brum) as well as independent shops and cafes. You can also walk from the village to Hawkstone Brewery, where Jeremy Clarkson's beer is made, for a guided tour or drink at the bar.

The village also makes a great base for exploring the wider Cotswolds, with direct walks to villages like the Slaughters and the Rissingtons, and being no more than a 30 minute drive from popular towns like Stow on the Wold, Burford, Broadway and Cirencester.

"This is one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at!

The house is amazing, with all the little details, the quality of the place and all the little details like the kitchenware, bathrooms the cosy feel!

It’s the perfect home away from home! The location is perfect, just off the highstreet! And Gemma was a perfect and responsive host!"
