Why I love this Cottage Gem

“Magnolia cottage is a place you sink into. As soon as you walk into the living room that amazing fireplace draws you in and you’re powerless to do anything but sit down and relax in front of it! The original features throughout really take your breath away.

The garden at the cottage is truly cottagey, with so many gorgeously scented flowers, and sitting underneath the Magnolia tree with a morning coffee or evening aperitif is a must.”

Location

Moreton in Marsh is a lesser known Cotswolds town so it doesn’t get the same crowds you might find elsewhere, making it a perfect escape. The Roman road the Fosseway runs right through the middle of town, and this thriving hub grew up around it with cafes, shops, pubs and the largest open air market in the Cotswolds.

Moreton is the ideal place to relax and soak up the Cotswolds lifestyle, to slow down, wander the honey-stone streets or off into the countryside. With a direct rail route to London Paddington, you don’t even need a car to enjoy the Cotswolds from Moreton in Marsh.

For those who do want to go farther afield, here you are well-placed to explore the north Cotswolds. History lovers are close to Snowshill Manor and world-renowned Compton Verney, while Batsford Arboretum and renowned gardens at Sezincote and Hidcote are nearby. In Moreton you’re well placed for visiting the towns of Chipping Campden, Broadway and Chipping Norton, and all the villages in between.

"You will love this charming stay in the Cotswolds. It is out of the hustle and bustle but still a perfect spot to be home base while you explore all of the Cotswolds charm and beauty.

In Moreton on Marsh there are a few sites to see plus a great co-op grocery and some lovely restaurants. The beds were all comfy. Our daughter loved the attic bedroom. Two bathrooms (both upstairs) made it easy in the mornings and evenings. And the kitchen was fully stocked (including a generous welcome basket!) for meals.

Truly a gem of a spot. Thank you for creating it for appreciating travellers!!"
