Why I love this Cottage Gem
“People think barn conversions can lack intimacy being too big and echo-y, but Squirrel Barn is the opposite of that. You have cosy living and dining spaces downstairs to be together, then upstairs huge beds to relax in.
Longborough is halfway between Stow on the Wold and Moreton in Marsh, so you’re only a few minutes away from the thriving market towns while enjoying a village location. It’s a fantastic place to get away from the world.”

Location
Longborough is a pretty, quiet village halfway between the historic towns of Moreton on Marsh and Stow on the Wold. Famous for its summer opera, for it still remains an unspoilt Cotswold village with a local shop and pub and lots of walks from the front door.
Nearby Moreton in Marsh is a lesser known Cotswolds town so it doesn’t get the same crowds you might find elsewhere, making it a perfect escape. The Roman road the Fosseway runs right through the middle of town, and this thriving hub grew up around it with cafes, shops, pubs and the largest open air market in the Cotswolds.
For those who do want to go farther afield, here you are well-placed to explore the north Cotswolds. History lovers are close to Snowshill Manor and world-renowned Compton Verney, while Batsford Arboretum and renowned gardens at Sezincote and Hidcote are nearby. In Moreton you’re well placed for visiting the towns of Chipping Campden, Broadway and Chipping Norton, and all the villages in between.
